President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Cunningham founded Maxton Technology in 1997, tapping both his prior industry experience and entrepreneurial spirit. In addition to being personally involved with customer relationships, he has been intimately involved with the company’s growth strategy which centered on strategic acquisition, integrating four complementary companies into Maxton. Previously, Mr. Cunningham was a Regional Sales Director for General Dynamics Wireless Division where he cultivated and managed large wireless programs, developed extensive industry relationships with customers and vendors alike, and created some very innovative approaches to network builds in the wireless infrastructure market segment. Prior to his role at General Dynamics, Mr. Cunningham co-founded Cellular Specialties, Inc., a provider of products and services for in-building wireless networks worldwide. Mr. Cunningham holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from The University of Maine.
Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Fioravanti was formerly President of Reverie Consulting, a capital strategies, business growth, turnaround and consulting firm. Previously, he held C-level and senior level roles spanning more than twenty years of public and private company experience in the energy & utilities, public works, and construction services sectors. He has extensive experience in corporate and business unit growth and marketing (including brand, division and company consulting assignments for Fortune 100 firms), mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, restructuring, finance, organizational communications and strategic government relations. He has received numerous accolades for business excellence and individual achievement, including leading a nationwide construction services and equipment rental subcontractor (as COO) to inclusion on INC. Magazine’s “500/5000” list of fastest growing privately held US companies for four consecutive years. An honors graduate of La Salle Academy, he received BS, MPA, and MBA (Finance, Marketing) degrees from The University of Rhode Island (which presented him with a Distinguished Alumni Award in 2010 for leadership in industry and community service) and completed the executive program at the Rutgers Center for Management Development, the CAGS advanced program at Bryant University, and is a graduate of Leadership Rhode Island.
Assistant Vice President – Programs
Mr. Coles is responsible for profitability and management of all programs and projects for Maxton Technology. He has extensive experience in the wireless telecommunications industry and has held leadership positions in both private and government sectors. Specific areas of experience include shipboard weapons control and radar, 2-way consoles and base stations, backhaul (fiber and microwave), RF implementation and engineering and all aspects of wireless network deployment including site selection, acquisition, permitting, construction, implementation and operations. Prior to joining Maxton, Mr. Coles held direct management positions for several wireless carriers including Cingular Wireless, Sprint/Nextel and Clearwire. He has also led programs and projects to success within other companies including American Tower Corporation, Lucent Technologies and Goodman Networks. Mr. Coles has managed programs and projects for government entities including the Department of Homeland Security (US Border Patrol and US Coast Guard) and the US Department of Agriculture (US Forestry Service).
President, Bay State Design, Inc.
Mr. Govalet is responsible for the management operations of the Architectural Services/Engineering arm of Maxton Technology (formerly known as Bay State Design, prior to its 2007 acquisition by Maxton). Prior to joining Maxton, Mr. Govalet was a Project Manager with Lucent Technologies for the AT&T / Cingular UMTS and network integration projects. Mr. Govalet’s extensive career experience in energy services and wireless includes program and engineering management positions at North Star Communications Group and Fluor Corp. In addition to wireless networks, his telecommunications experience includes fiber optic networks, landline and public safety facility projects. Mr. Govalet was also previously the Structural Division Manager for Stone and Webster Engineering’s Chicago office and served as a chief structural engineer on utility power plant projects for Bechtel Power. Mr. Govalet holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and is a Registered Professional Engineer.
Director of Finance and Accounting / Controller
Mr. Gavin is responsible for all internal and external financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cash management, banking relationships, insurance and risk management and oversight of the financial controls for both Maxton Technology and Bay State Design. Prior to joining Maxton, Mr. Gavin held a number of senior level accounting and finance positions in the manufacturing, industrial products and construction services fields. In addition to numerous achievements and recognition marking a more than twenty-five year career with senior level experience in both public and private companies, he has also consulted with companies in various industries specifically for the purpose of improving their financial operations, management controls and quality of reporting. Mr. Gavin is a graduate of Providence College where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in the field of Finance.
